About me
A mental health counselor with a background in both the military and law enforcement who identities, experienced, and understand the "thin blue line" or military service.
As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I prioritize creating a welcoming, affirming environment where clients can authentically explore their identities and experiences without judgment. My therapeutic approach emphasizes the importance of supporting the entire family system, recognizing that healing often extends beyond the individual.
Areas of Focus:
Supporting individuals, couples, and families navigating anxiety, PTSD, and identity exploration
Working with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, relational challenges, grief, and other concerns impacting daily life
Providing a safe, compassionate space for clients to process emotional ups and downs
With nearly 20 years of military service, I bring firsthand understanding of life transitions, stress, and family dynamics. My background in law enforcement has also given me insight into the mental and physical demands faced by professionals in high-pressure roles. I approach this work with sensitivity, respect, and a deep awareness of these unique challenges.
