About me
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker dedicated to helping adults of all ages manage life stressors and transitions. Drawing from a variety of approach's- CBT, DBT, EMDR, Somatic, Narrative, Gottman-I tailor our time together to your unique needs for an individualized experience. I enjoy helping individuals and couples rediscover what's meaningful to them, heal past wounds, and grow into the life they desire.
I know it’s not easy to take this first step of reaching out for help
We aren’t broken. We adapted. We found ways to survive hard things. I believe that when life leaves us feeling stuck, we deserve more than just surviving. We deserve to move forward with intention and authenticity. Trauma and hardships can make it easy to lose sight of who we are and what truly matters. My work isn’t about helping you return to who you once were, but about empowering you to take ownership of your story and create a life that feels real, grounded, and uniquely yours.
What you can expect
In our work together, you’ll find a balance of compassion and challenge. I will meet you where you are, without judgment, and walk alongside you as you work toward your goals. Whether you’re healing from the past, rebuilding a sense of self, or repairing relationships, you don’t have to do it alone. Together, we can create space for growth, clarity, and a life that feels truly yours.
You will reach the goals you have set out for yourself
I work with adults of all genders and backgrounds, and I strive to provide a safe, affirming space. My approach is solution-focused, making me a strong fit for those who are motivated, open to curiosity, and interested in exploring new perspectives and approaches that feel supportive, authentic, and aligned with the life they want to create. We’ll focus on building on your strengths, uncovering what matters most to you, and finding practical steps that move you toward meaningful change.
My educational path
I earned my Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of North Texas and became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker after completion of my degree. I have practiced in a variety of settings such as hospice, jails, inpatient, and outpatient care.
Why I do this work
My commitment to helping others is deeply personal. I have experienced my own healing journey, including therapy, and I know firsthand the courage it takes to face your past and rebuild your life. I have lived through childhood sexual abuse, homelessness, and interpersonal abuse, and I understand how deeply these experiences can shape our self-image and the way we move through the world.
I use much of what I’ve learned personally and professionally to navigate my own relationships as a friend, parent, and spouse. These challenges have given me not only professional skill but also genuine empathy and respect for the resilience it takes to heal.
At Relationship Matters Therapy, I am currently available to see individual & couples/relationship clients. I’m excited to work with you, so please reach out or book an appointment today!
