About me
I am an experienced licensed professional clinical counselor and licensed social worker providing adults with high quality, individualized care through safe, thoughtful, and trauma-informed treatment approaches. I encourage personal empowerment in order for you to navigate your own growth and healing.
I have close to three decades of experience helping clients of all ages. My practice currently focuses on adults (18+ years old) and is LGBTQ+ affirming; culturally inclusive and welcoming to individual differences.
I have experience in crisis intervention with trauma survivors of all ages: as a social worker; sexual and domestic violence crisis counselor; mental health psychotherapist; advocate and community activist.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The Ohio State University and a Master of Science in Counseling from the University of Dayton. Practice Specialties include working with Adjustment Disorder, Anxiety and Depression, Family Issues, Life Transitions, Relationship Challenges, Stress Management, Work-Life Balance, Gender and Sexuality issues, Chronic Illness, as well as various types of Trauma; including PTSD, Sexual and Domestic Violence.
My therapeutic treatment approaches include Cognitive-Behavioral; Eclectic; Person-Centered; Solution-Focused Brief Therapy; Motivational Interviewing; Internal Family Systems; EFT (tapping) and EMDR.
I believe in supporting my clients by equipping them with the necessary tools needed to help them navigate their own resolution of issues in a way that is helpful, healing, and empowering.
