About me
Hello, my name is Tarsha, and I am pleased to meet you. I am a competent and compassionate counselor, called to walk alongside individuals who are in pain and yearning to become unstuck. I earned my master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and my bachelor’s in Christian Counseling from Liberty University. I am a Maryland-licensed and nationally certified counselor. Sitting with others in their moments of struggle isn’t just my profession—it’s my passion and purpose. I hold space for healing with warmth, wisdom, and a deep respect for each person’s journey.
As a counselor, I am deeply committed to helping individuals navigate life’s complexities with clarity, compassion, and culturally attuned guidance. My approach integrates evidence-based modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy (PCT), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), among others, while centering on the lived experiences of individuals and marginalized communities. Through structured tools, reflective dialogue, and trauma-informed practices, I work with individuals to help them transform emotional challenges into pathways for self-empowerment, resilience, and lasting change. I believe therapy should feel like both a mirror and a map—offering insight into who you are, while gently guiding you toward who you’re becoming. Whether you're confronting patterns rooted in generational narratives or simply seeking a space to breathe and be seen, I’m here to walk alongside you. I also mentor emerging therapists, nurturing their growth as they discover and refine their own paths in this work.
I offer telemental health/online therapy during evening hours on weekdays (with limited availability early in the afternoon on Saturdays). Whether I’m guiding individuals or supporting interns, I strive to embody and extend competence, comfort, and compassion—honoring my calling while delivering meaningful, effective care to those I serve. Please feel free to schedule a 15- to 20-minute complimentary consultation.
