Tara Elliot, MA, LPC, CCTP-II, CSTT, RYT

I am an experienced therapist who specializes in complex trauma. I also work with clients who experience depression and anxiety among many other diagnostic issues. I meet clients where they are at to begin their healing journey. I also work with the body to release long held trauma. I am also a meditation teacher and mentor along with a Yoga practioner and teacher. Tara is also a Certified Art Therapist.

Tara has her Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Kutztown University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Registered Yoga Teacher and specializes in a somatic approach to trauma work where she focuses on complex trauma. She is currently working on her PhD in Integral and Transpersonal Psychology.

Individuals I care for struggled with mental illness, I came to appreciate the network of mental health providers that helped those I love and, by extension, helped me. I doubt those providers know the impact their care had on me.

They are part of the reason I do what I do and I thank them for it. To be able to create safety, hold space, and be present for my clients is an honour and privilege. I understand the strength and courage it takes to sit across from another human being and be vulnerable.

The path to personal growth, self-awareness, self-acceptance, and self-love is filled with challenges and joy, for it it important to celebrate and cherish all of it.

We seek out therapy for a variety of reasons and personal goals: healing, personal growth, life change, relationship issues, mental health, and many more reasons.
