About me
I am an experienced mental health counselor, offering in-person, nature-based or telehealth sessions. My passion is helping individuals focus on nurturing, empowering, honoring, and reconnecting with their authentic self.
Life can be hard, and it’s easy to feel disconnected, lost, overwhelmed, or off-balance as we navigate the challenges of being human. During those times, we need a safe space where we feel seen and heard, where we are encouraged to experience our emotions, where we can be ourselves. Ted Lasso reminded us to “be curious, not judgmental”. For me, that is what therapy is all about. Being present and listening, without judgment. Therapy isn’t necessarily about “fixing” something that’s “broken”. Sometimes, the work is more about awareness, insight, self-exploration, or acceptance. We get curious, we ask questions, we explore. Together.
My practice, Nature and Nurture Counseling & Wellness, uses a holistic approach that values the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit to consider the whole person. This helps me understand clients more fully and incorporate interventions that honor their uniqueness. My role is to hold space, guide, and support clients on their journey to healing.
Sessions are offered outdoors or online. I work with teens and adults who want to: decrease feelings of anxiety/depression, improve coping skills, process loss, enhance self-esteem, feel empowered, work towards self-acceptance, feel more connected, navigate life transitions with more peace, or increase mindfulness. If that sounds like you, I'm here to help.
The first few sessions will focus on learning more about you, your challenges, and what you would like to work on in sessions. Together, we will create a plan to work towards those goals in a way that speaks to you and helps you nurture and reconnect with your authentic self.
