I have been a licensed professional counselor in Texas since 1993 and I like to help adults, ages 30 and up, deal with depression, anxiety, grief and loss, or self-esteem concerns.

I have worked in a variety of social service settings and now have been in private practice doing virtual sessions for about 4 years.

I have a casual, conversational style when I work with you. I like to help you see the strengths within yourself and to help you tap into those strengths as you navigate through your concerns.

By using techniques like cognitive behavior therapy I can help you identify, analyze, and change negative self-talk which can help you look at your issues from a different perspective. Doing so can help you realize that you are in control of yourself and your choices which can be both empowering and eye-opening.
I want to help you look at these issues, figure out how to deal or cope with them, and come out on the other side having learned something about yourself, others, or your personal world. I firmly believe that you have the power to choose to live in peace and contentment.

I am direct in my approach; I use humor at times to help us get through some rough discussions, but never with any intent to be dismissive. I counsel with the premise that you are in control of how far or how deeply you go; any progress still is progress.

I do online counseling only with clients who reside in Texas.
