About me
I offer a combination of therapeutic modalities to help adolescents and adults navigate and cope with their diverse life experiences. My approach is warm, relational, and client centered, creating a non-judgmental space to explore feelings and concerns. I draw upon skills learned in employment and training in mental health and school counseling for over 35 years. I have been a private practice mental health counselor for ten years. I was a licensed school counselor for 18 years, a therapeutic foster care provider, sub-acute residential counselor, and art therapy facilitator. My treatment approach is tailored to your specific concerns. I combine modalities such as CBT, DBT, Somatic Experiencing, Mindfulness, Narrative, Self-compassion.
I have counseling experience related to issues of anxiety, depression, trauma, women's issues, co-dependency, body image, self-esteem, abuse, grief, life transitional phases, parenting, stress.
At the outset of counseling, we will identify and agree upon specific modalities that could be helpful to you.
