About me
I am a licensed clinical social worker providing holistic, culturally humble counseling to adults using evidence-based practices. I work with adults struggling with life transitions, identity issues, cultural/racial issues, anxiety and stress, depression, grief and loss, ADHD/executive functioning, self-esteem issues, perfectionism, co-dependency, relationship problems, and more. I provide a safe space for you to be seen and heard, with no judgment. I take the time to get to know you, and determine together what approach resonates best with you. Therapy can feel scary or overwhelming, but it doesn't have to be. I’m here to empower you to reach your goals and thrive, whether it means putting down shame you feel, learning new coping skills, or having a better understanding of yourself.
Hi! I'm Susanna Sung, LCSW-C, and I'm a therapist because I believe we can all live fulfilled, satisfying lives, and that we all deserve that. I believe each of us already have what we need inside of ourselves, and I'm here to help you unlock that.
I am proud to be a licensed clinical social worker because social work values are my core values. I believe in the inherent dignity and worth of each person, that human connections and finding your life purpose can change everything, and that living in your authenticity is coming home to yourself.
I received my Master of Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania and my Bachelor's of Arts from Syracuse University in both psychology and journalism. I have both clinical and research experience from the National Institute of Mental Health, National Institute on Drug Abuse, University of Maryland, University of Pennsylvania, and other organizations.
I have served on mental health Boards of Directors and actively volunteer in my community. I am an advocate and work hard to elevate all voices. I do all this to make the world a better place, and I believe that begins with each of us digging deep to live our best lives.
I overcame my fears to become am a national keynote public speaker and trainer. I am a subject matter expert and consultant for social work licensure exams and worked on the social work compact to increase accessibility and portability of social work services. I also provide disruptive events management services to companies and their employees.
I Believe:
You deserve to live an audacious life.
You deserve to be seen.
You deserve to have your stories held and validated. I am passionate about helping to empower you to find your voice and live your life on your terms.
I am deeply committed to providing a safe space to empower you to learn new coping skills, deepen relationships with yourself and others, and to live a more fulfilled life.
I believe we can get there together.
I’m here for you if you’re feeling like you’re:
Faking it or that you have to be perfect of successful
Never enough, or that you’re always the problem
A faded version of yourself or that you put other people’s needs over your own as a people-pleaser
Lived your life for everyone else and now you don’t know who you are or what you want
Feeling lonely or isolated, and that everyone else has it all figured out
Difficulty making the right decision and you’re looking for clarity—in your job, in your relationship, in what makes you happy
Conflicts or confusion about your race or ethnicity and what your family, culture, or society expects from you
