About me

Experienced child, adolescent, adult, and family therapist who is dedicated to helping individuals and families with trauma recovery, ADHD, Autism, anxiety, depression, burnout, and emotional management.

My work with clients is grounded in a systemically oriented family therapy model, with an emphasis on cultural diversity and person-centered care. Whenever possible, I strive to work with the entire family unit while also providing individualized services for the identified client. As a marriage and family therapist registered associate who works with individuals and families, I take into consideration the complexity of their cultural identity development, which includes ability, gender, race, sexual orientation, preferred gender expression, and any other category of difference that a client deems to be of importance. In addition, I use a strength-based model that emphasizes the positive attributes of the client, helping them understand what is working for them, while simultaneously building resources to support them in less productive areas of their life.

We all face challenges in life, some big and some small, but each is significant in its impact on you individually. Whether you have experienced large or small traumas, ADHD, Autism, anxiety, depression, burnout, or are trying to understand and manage your emotional responses, I'm here to support your journey. There is no "right size" challenge to seek therapy, and I'm here to support you regardless of how big or small you view your challenges. I am also trained in assessing for autism and ADHD, helping to not just diagnose, but help address life challenges individuals and families may face related to their neurodivergent superpowers.

I take pride in working to understand each client individually. It is the uniqueness that each of us brings as humans that makes us who we are; therefore, no single therapy approach works for all. I embrace a variety of approaches to help clients address their needs, embrace (or find) their inner strength, and address challenges for lasting change.

In addition to training as a Marriage and Family Therapist, I have a Phd in psychology and hold additional certifications in trauma, ADHD, and Autism. I have also obtained specialized training in anxiety, depression, EMDR, child-parent psychotherapy, and trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy.
