About me
I am an experienced therapist and Certified Brainspotting Practitioner who works with adults and adolescents on their healing journey from trauma, anxiety and depression as well as learing how to create the life that works for you.
I am a seasoned therapist with more than 20 years experience. I am also a Certified Brainspotting Practitioner. BSP is a neuroexperiental model which is an effective way to heal from trauma, lessen anxiety and depression and cope with life transitions more effectively. In other words, to get unstuck and allow yourself to be open to change in order to create the life you imagined for yourself.
In addition to Brainspotting, I utilize an eclectic array of modalities such as Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused, Strengths Based, Client Centered, IFS informed, and Family Systems informed.
I work with adults, couples, and adolescents and address a multitude of issues, including trauma; relationship and behavioral difficulties; depression; anxiety; panic; marital/premarital; divorce; family conflicts; grief/loss; adjustment; and life transitions.
I'm aware that many people go through life wishing ‘if someone else could just be … (fill in the dots), then all would be good’. It’s really about learning that we have no control over how others behave, it’s about how we respond. That’s when true 'shifts' happen. We will work together as a team to identify and break the patterns that prevent you from achieving the relationships and life you want.
Research shows that relationships are the most important factor in the success of treatment. I consider myself to be a warm, approachable person who is very interactive during sessions.
