About me
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, a National Certified Counselor and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. I focus on children, adolescents and adults and use cognitive behavioral therapy and solution focused counseling to help clients make desired changes. Areas of expertise include ADHD, anxiety, depression, grief, trauma and life transitions.
Do you ever feel stuck? Where you are right now does not determine where you will go. It simply determines where you will start. If you are feeling down, anxious, stressed or overwhelmed, I would like to help you look for the causes, discover your strengths and help you move forward. Life can be full of struggles and adjustments. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor, retired school counselor and general and special education teacher, wife, mother and grandmother. I know that change is inevitable. However, it can also be a time of growth.
My licenses and certifications follow: Licensed Professional Counselor and LPC Supervisor, Professional School Counselor, Principal, Legacy Master Reading Teacher, Classroom Teacher - Early Childhood through 12th grade, Generic Special Education Teacher - Early Childhood through 12th grade, and English as a Second Language Teacher through 12th grade.
My greatest strengths as a provider are that I have good interpersonal skills and am multiculturally sensitive. I am a good listener and can communicate effectively. I am warm, accepting and empathetic. In addition, I am a hopeful and optimistic person.
