Susan Maehre, LPC

I see life as a journey and find my passion in accompanying individuals in their quest for a fulfilling and purposeful life. I have worked with individuals who struggle with depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, grief and loss, addiction, psychotic disorders, mood disorders, and relationship issues, to name a few. I find my passion in creating a safe environment in which people feel valued and comfortable sharing their experiences, struggles, hopes, and dreams and where we can work together to create the life each person desires.

I enjoy working with a variety of issues and challenges, using a strengths-based approach, utilizing an eclectic array of techniques from various theoretical orientations. I enjoy tailoring therapy to meet the needs of each person, working with their belief system, assisting them in defining their goals and hopes, and increasing their sense of self-worth.
I like to focus on a person's strengths; using a person-centered approach, using various means including a holistic approach to life, that includes mental, emotional, physical, social, and spiritual health. I enjoy working with each person in their development, building on the strengths, hopes, abilities, and goals of the person to create health and balance.
