About me
Every therapy session is uniquely designed to assist our client's in achieving their objectives. It is common to expect a series of weekly sessions, typically lasting 45-50 minutes. The duration of care is dependent upon the type of counseling the client is in need of and the level of participation within and outside the therapy environment. Occasionally, sustainable growth and a greater sense of well-being, may require medication prescribed by the client's medical doctor. In these situations, counseling works in conjunction with medical professionals to ensure an integrative approach to wellness.
My Masters degree is in Social Work from University of Southern California, 2014 and Marriage, Family, and Child Therapy from University of Phoenix, 2009. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (CSW.09925410), Registered Psychotherapist (NLC.014784), Certified Addiction Specialist (ACC.0998031), EMDR Level I and II March 2011, Trauma Certified Specialist June 2017, Domestic Violence approved member since 2016, EFT 2011, TF-CBT 2012, Prepare/Enrich Training 2010, Gottman Level 1 and II 2017, DBT 2017.
My credentials and professional organization memberships are: Associate Member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), American Counseling Association (ACA), Colorado Counseling Association, National Association of Social Workers (NASW), Clinical Social Work Association (CSWA),, and an associate of American Association of Sexuality Education, Counseling and Therapists (AASECT). Because of my training, teaching, and clinical experience, my theoretical orientation is Integrative (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused, and many other theories) in hopes to uniquely connect with each individual and their circumstances.
