About me

I am a compassionate therapist specializing in supporting individuals in larger bodies through eating disorders, body image distress, anxiety, and depression using a Health at Every Size approach.

If you're reading this, you might be wondering whether therapy can feel like anything other than uncomfortable, clinical, or centered around your body size. I want to meet you where you're at—with curiosity, respect, and genuine care.

I specialize in supporting individuals in larger bodies who are navigating eating disorders (including concerns around binge eating), body image distress, anxiety, depression, and the emotional weight of living in a stigma-based world. I’ve seen firsthand how hard it is to get care that’s non-judgmental, respectful, and truly understanding.

My goal is to create a safe, inclusive space where your experience matters—not your weight. I blend Health at Every Size principles with evidence-based therapies: CBT, DBT, and ACT .

That might look like:
- Exploring thoughts and behaviors that feel stuck or painful
- Learning emotion regulation tools that feel relevant to you
- Rebuilding trust in your body and your choices
- Challenging unhelpful messages you’ve internalized from diet culture or social media
- Honoring the whole you—your hopes, your stories, and your resilience

Clients often tell me they appreciate that I’m compassionate and approachable while also being thoughtful and skilled. I’m not here to change your body—I’m here to help you understand yourself, feel grounded, and move toward what matters most in your life.

I’ve worked with nonprofits focused on removing barriers to eating disorder treatment—and I’m actively involved in advocacy and education with groups like FEAST, ANAD, and Eating Disorder Foundation (EDF). I’ve researched and presented on how social media impacts eating disorders, giving me insight into how online messages can deeply influence how we see ourselves and our choices.

Outside of sessions, you’ll probably find me hiking, biking, reading with my dogs at my feet, or enjoying quality time with my family. These moments remind me of the importance of connection, movement that feels good, and small joys—values I like to bring into our work together.

If you’re ready for a different kind of space—one that centers your dignity, your story, and your strengths—I’d be honored to walk alongside you. Whenever you’re ready, I’m here. If you would like to connect, the best way to start therapy is to set up a free 15-minute consultation through my website.
