About me
I provide individual and couples therapy for adults and teens in my private practice in Petaluma, CA. I'm also Clinical Director for a women's mental health program in Marin.
I'm pretty unscripted. My style works well for those who want more than coping skills. Beyond surface-level 'tools', I orient toward exploring deeper dynamics with authenticity and humor. We gain insight by understanding emotion-management strategies that feel protective in some ways, but are also limiting. My clients are open to getting real about what's driving complex, stuck patterns like worrying, ruminating, obsessing, avoiding, numbing, addiction, people-pleasing, self-harm, and perfectionism. I especially enjoy working with individuals with intense personalities and couples in high-conflict relationships.
I'm a relational therapist, so I'll be direct with you without being directive or prescriptive. I respect the autonomy of my clients and I do my best to follow along with curiosity. I find that each person's therapy has its own organic course.
I prioritize authentic human-to-human connection because that’s where the value of therapy emerges.
