About me
Warm, collaborative counseling honoring your whole story. Let’s safely untangle trauma, navigate life's pressures, and reclaim your agency.
Welcome. If you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or completely exhausted by the weight of everything you’ve been carrying, I want you to know you don’t have to figure it all out alone. I believe that therapy is, first and foremost, a partnership built on warmth, safety, and mutual respect. Life can be incredibly complex, and our mental well-being is deeply connected to everything around us—our physical health, our personal histories, and the day-to-day pressures of the world we live in. My goal is to provide a soft landing place where you can step out of the chaos, catch your breath, and feel truly heard.
My Practice & Approach
In my practice, I view mental health through an integrative, whole-person lens. I believe that who we are is completely interconnected with our biology, our personal histories, and the day-to-day social, economic, and systemic pressures we navigate. True healing cannot happen in a vacuum. You are not a diagnosis or a set of symptoms to be fixed; you are a whole person whose nervous system and emotional peace are intimately tied to the environment you live in every day.
My therapeutic style is warm, interactive, and deeply collaborative. I reject the cold, detached therapist stereotype—I am right there in the trenches with you, listening with an open heart and a curious mind. Because everyone processes life and pain differently, I like to engage your strengths using creative, visual, and practical tools. Together, we will actively map out patterns, break down complex or heavy emotions into tangible steps, and look below the surface to find real, sustainable clarity.
My Core Beliefs
I believe that the relationship we build in therapy is the ultimate catalyst for change. I believe in showing up as a real, authentic human being who respects your inherent autonomy. You are the absolute expert on your own life. Systemic barriers, financial strain, and societal pressures are not just "external stressors"—they deeply impact our physical health and our peace of mind. My role is to stand beside you as an ally, offering a safe, grounded space and gentle guidance to help you untangle old wounds, quiet the noise of the world, and reclaim your agency.
Specializations & Areas of Focus
Women's Issues: Societal expectations, shifting life roles, and the heavy balancing acts of family and career can leave you feeling unseen or exhausted. I provide a dedicated, nurturing space to explore the unique pressures women face, from navigating major identity transitions to breaking free from systemic roles that no longer serve you. Together, we will honor your lived experiences, strengthen your boundaries, and focus on reclaiming your voice, your health, and your personal autonomy.
Grief & Loss: Grief is not a problem to be solved or a process to be rushed; it is a profound reflection of love and connection. Whether you are mourning a loved one, a relationship, or the loss of a life chapter you cherished, I offer a gentle, steady space to hold your pain. We will not look to "get over it," but rather work to honor your feelings, navigate the confusing waves of sorrow, and help you gently integrate this profound change into your ongoing story.
PTSD & Trauma Recovery: Trauma doesn’t just live in our thoughts; it reshapes how our bodies and nervous systems respond to the world. If you are struggling with hypervigilance, painful memories, or feeling constantly on edge, please know your body is simply trying to keep you safe. Using a gentle, integrative approach, we will work together to soothe your nervous system, safely untangle old wounds, and steadily restore a true sense of inner safety, comfort, and peace to your daily life.
Socioeconomic & Financial Stress: Financial strain and systemic barriers place a massive, often ignored burden on our mental health and family dynamics. I offer a compassionate, zero-judgment space to talk openly about the very real anxiety, pressure, and stress caused by these socioeconomic hurdles, helping you navigate them while preserving your emotional well-being.
Therapeutic Modalities & Perspectives
To best support your unique path to healing, I blend several gentle, highly effective therapeutic perspectives into our work:
Somatic Therapy: Trauma, chronic stress, and systemic anxiety don’t just exist in our thoughts—they physically live in our bodies and reshape our nervous systems. If you feel constantly on edge, numb, or disconnected, your body is simply trying to keep you safe. In our work, we focus on the profound connection between mind and body. We will use gentle awareness to soothe your nervous system, safely release stored physical tension, and steadily restore a true sense of inner comfort and safety to your daily life.
Expressive Arts Therapy: Traditional talk therapy is wonderful, but sometimes heavy emotions or deep experiences can leave us completely without words. By incorporating creative and visual tools, we can gently give those feelings a tangible form outside of ourselves. This approach allows us to map out complex patterns, explore inner blockages, and discover new insights at your own pace. You do not need to consider yourself an artist—this is simply a gentle, expressive space to help you process what words cannot.
Attachment Theory: Our earliest relationships form the blueprint for how we navigate safety, trust, and connection in the world today. If you find yourself trapped in repeating relationship cycles, constantly feeling anxious about abandonment, or pulling away when things get close, we will look at those foundations together. Understanding your attachment style helps us bring compassion to your automatic responses, heal old relational wounds, and build a secure, peaceful foundation for your current connections.
When you choose to step into this space with me, you are gaining a dedicated, deeply empathetic ally who bridges traditional mental health counseling with a foundational understanding of clinical medicine. This dual lens ensures your physical well-being is always honored alongside your emotional health.
I offer you a safe, grounded, and zero-judgment environment specifically tailored to help you decompress from the world, heal from the past, and move forward at a pace that feels entirely safe and right for you. If you are ready to look below the surface, ask honest questions, and actively participate in your own growth, I would be truly honored to walk beside you. Let's safely untangle the noise, navigate life's pressures, and reclaim your path forward.
