About me
I am a licensed clinical psychologist who provide evidence-based counseling and psychological evaluation.
My understanding of clients comes from my diverse interests and experience. I initially studied human memory and language processing, and received the Ph.D. in cognitive psychology at the University of Chicago. After gaining diverse experience as a researcher, faculty, consultant, and a full-time mother raising two children in different countries, I decided to work with clients and became a clinical psychologist. I believe therapy is a process of growth in which a client and a therapist collaborate with each other. I strive to provide safe and caring environment where clients can explore their potential to grow.
I specialize in anxiety (OCD, Phobia, social anxiety, etc.), depression, and relationships, in adolescents as well as adults. I have extensive experience in Exposure/Response Prevention (ERP) to treat OCD. I also conduct neuropsychological evaluation for ADHD, learning disorder, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and personality disorders.
My main approaches are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I can provide therapy both in English and in Korean. As a PSYPACT provider, I offer telehealth services to clients in 42 states including Georgia, Florida, Texas, Pensilvania and many others.
