About me

I am a grief and trauma therapist helping adults navigate loss, healing, and life’s major transitions.

I’m a therapist specializing in grief, trauma, and life transitions, and I work primarily with adults who are navigating profound change, loss, or emotional overwhelm. Many of the people I work with come to therapy feeling stuck—caught between what was and what’s next, unsure how to carry pain without being consumed by it. My role is to offer a steady, compassionate space where you don’t have to rush your healing or carry things alone.

My approach is grounded, relational, and trauma-informed. I believe that healing happens not by “fixing” what’s broken, but by gently understanding what your nervous system, emotions, and experiences are asking for. Grief and trauma affect every part of us—mind, body, relationships, and sense of meaning—and therapy works best when we honor all of those layers.

Who I Work With
I work with adults who are experiencing:
Grief and loss (including death, anticipatory grief, complicated grief, and non-death losses)
Trauma and its long-term effects
Major life transitions such as divorce, career changes, identity shifts, or relocation
Feelings of anxiety, emotional numbness, or overwhelm following difficult experiences
A sense of being “stuck,” disconnected, or unsure of how to move forward

Many of my clients are thoughtful, capable people who have spent a long time holding things together for others. Therapy becomes a place where they can finally slow down, feel what needs to be felt, and begin making sense of their experiences in a way that feels supportive rather than retraumatizing.

My Therapeutic Approach

My work is grounded in trauma-informed, evidence-based practices and integrates narrative therapy, person-centered, and mindfulness-based approaches. At the heart of my work is a deep respect for your lived experience and your innate capacity for healing. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and therapy works best when it is collaborative, compassionate, and paced to your needs.

From a person-centered perspective, I focus on creating a therapeutic relationship built on safety, authenticity, and unconditional respect. Many people come to therapy feeling judged—by others or by themselves—and my goal is to offer a space where you can show up exactly as you are, without pressure to perform, explain, or “be okay.”

Using narrative therapy, we explore the stories you carry about yourself, your experiences, and your losses. Trauma and grief can narrow these stories, leaving people defined by pain or what has been taken from them. Together, we gently examine how these stories were shaped, honor their meaning, and make room for new narratives that reflect resilience, agency, and values that still matter to you.

Mindfulness-based practices support our work by helping you reconnect with the present moment in ways that feel grounding and tolerable. We pay attention not only to thoughts and emotions, but also to what’s happening in your body. Mindfulness helps build awareness, regulation, and choice—especially when emotions feel overwhelming or when past experiences intrude on the present.

I don’t believe in pushing people to “move on” or bypass their pain. Instead, I help clients learn how to be with difficult emotions in ways that feel manageable and supportive. Therapy with me is intentional and engaged, while also gentle and flexible. We work toward healing that feels integrated, meaningful, and sustainable—honoring both where you’ve been and where you’re going.

Therapy in Nature & Flexible Options

In addition to traditional in-office sessions, I offer therapy in nature and online therapy options. For some clients, being outdoors can help regulate the nervous system, support emotional openness, and make the therapeutic process feel more accessible. Whether we meet in person, outside, or virtually, my goal is to create a setting where you feel supported and able to show up as yourself.

What You Can Expect

Working with me, you can expect:
A warm, grounded, and compassionate therapeutic relationship
Care that honors your experiences without minimizing or pathologizing them
Support in developing coping tools that actually fit your life
Space to explore grief, trauma, and change at your own pace
A collaborative process where your goals and values guide our work

I see therapy as a partnership. You don’t need to have the “right words,” a clear plan, or a polished story to begin. You just need a willingness to show up as you are.

A Bit More About Me

I bring curiosity, steadiness, and respect into my work. I value authenticity over perfection and believe that meaningful change often happens in small, quiet moments. Outside of therapy, I value reflection, connection, and time spent in environments that support grounding and renewal—values that often find their way into my clinical work as well.

Taking the Next Step

If you’re feeling uncertain, overwhelmed, or simply tired of carrying everything on your own, therapy may be a place to begin again—at a pace that feels right for you. Reaching out for support is not a sign of weakness; it’s an act of care.

I’d be honored to walk alongside you as you navigate grief, heal from trauma, and move through life’s transitions with greater clarity and compassion.
