I am Sonya A. Allen, a Licensed Professional Counselor, mother of a child (adult) who lives on the autism spectrum, with varied experience supporting individuals, families, and communities across a range of behavioral health and human services settings. I hold a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from South University and a Life Coach certification which I utilize to support maintaining a strong foundation in both clinical practice and community-based care. My professional background includes work wherein I provided comprehensive support to diverse populations, including individuals with developmental and behavioral health needs. I am passionate about empowering others through education, personal development, and practical life skills. During sessions with me my clients can expect that I will exhibit a compassionate approach and effective communication style, which helps create safe, supportive environments that foster growth, resilience, and lasting change.
