About me
I believe my greatest strengths are my authenticity and my genuine passion for mental health and supporting others. I bring empathy to my work and strive to create a space where people feel comfortable, understood, and valued.
Dr. Sonia Jacob is a board-certified psychiatrist specializing in the care of children, adolescents, and adults. Originally from the Sunshine State, she earned her bachelor’s degree in biology, with a minor in anthropology, from the University of Florida in 2015. She went on to receive her medical degree from the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2019, where she discovered her passion for mental health and embraced a holistic approach that considers the connection between body, mind, and spirit.
Dr. Jacob completed her psychiatry residency at Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, followed by a child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Children’s National Hospital.
Outside of her clinical work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, playing and watching sports, exploring diverse cuisines, practicing meditation and yoga, and discovering new interests—often alongside her Bengal cat, Zeke.
