About me
Experienced and Dedicated Clinical Mental Health Counselor
Devoted to Empowering Individuals on their Healing Journey for Positive Change and Emotional Well-being
At Phoenix Counseling in Wichita, Kansas, I want to begin by acknowledging the strength it takes to seek support and start this journey toward personal growth and healing. Reaching out for help is a courageous step, and I am deeply committed to your well-being. I believe in the transformative power of therapy and am dedicated to walking alongside you on this path to a healthier, more fulfilling life.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, each with unique experiences and challenges. My extensive experience includes assisting clients facing a wide range of issues, such as trauma, grief and loss, depression, anxiety, anger management, body image concerns, self-esteem issues, and career-related stress. I understand that no two journeys are the same, and I am committed to tailoring my therapeutic approach to meet your specific needs and goals.
My counseling approach is collaborative and client-centered. I believe that you are the expert of your own life, and my role is to support you in finding the answers that already reside within you. I draw from evidence-based practices, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based approaches, solution-focused therapy, and humanistic and existential therapies. These methods empower you to build resilience, gain insight, and make meaningful changes in your life. My aim is to help you develop the skills and strategies you need to navigate life’s challenges with confidence and clarity.
One of my core values is creating a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences openly. I strive to be an ally in your journey, offering empathy, understanding, and support without judgment. Whether you are navigating significant life transitions, managing stress and anxiety, coping with depression, healing from past trauma, or seeking personal growth, I am here to support you every step of the way.
In addition to my clinical work, my educational background and professional achievements provide me with a unique perspective in counseling. I hold a Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, which has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to provide effective, compassionate care. My Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering adds an additional layer of understanding, allowing me to approach problems from a logical, analytical perspective while maintaining empathy and compassion.
Beyond my formal education, I have a passion for continuous learning and innovation. I have authored several publications, including Simply Learn Philosophy: The Difference Between Schools of Thought, Tomahawk, Heroes or Liars, and Iceberg Tips. These works reflect my dedication to exploring the complexities of human thought and behavior, as well as my commitment to personal and professional growth. Additionally, I am the inventor of the Neo-Hydroelectric Power System (US Patent US10487795B1), an accomplishment that showcases my ability to think creatively and approach challenges from multiple angles.
At Phoenix Counseling, I believe that everyone has the potential to lead a happier, healthier, and more fulfilling life. Therapy is a powerful tool for self-discovery, healing, and growth, and I am honored to be a part of your journey. Whether you are just starting out or have been on this path for some time, I am here to provide the support and guidance you need to achieve your goals.
If you are ready to take the first step toward healing and personal growth, I invite you to reach out. Together, we can work towards creating the life you envision—a life filled with purpose, meaning, and joy.
