About me
Slande Saintclair finds pleasure in working with you to provide clinical support and guidance to help you resolve, reduce, or eliminate your presenting issues. Whether you’re experiencing grief, depression, anxiety, or some other common or uncommon issue, she is here and ready to work alongside you to help you work through your issues and come up with an effective treatment plan.
Having a background in mental health psychology was the plan from the start, although I had concurrent interests in other people-oriented fields. I believed psychology and counseling would compliment the other people-helping fields very well. From my earliest beginning, I was fascinated with the human experience and condition. I wanted to understand myself, my loved-ones, people in general and relationships. I have had my studies in this field as well as other helping fields. I have worked in healthcare, education, administration, administrative orders, public benefits, financial services, customer service, hospitality, among others. All of these experiences including my varied courses and studies have helped to shape this practice.
We welcome all clients to our virtual practice, TDNT Counseling Services at TDNT Social services Inc. Our intake process is conducted in such a way to alleviate stress and worry. It is streamlined to help relieve you from feelings of overwhelm. Our initial consultation is paid and will include clinical work such as a review of clinical consent forms, your reason for seeking treatment, as well as fitness. Once we receive your request for a consultation, we will send you our Sign Up form, our Intake form as well as our Policies and Consent Forms via email. Please read, complete and sign those forms before your paid consultation. We will be glad to answer any questions you may have via email before the consultation and during the consultation.
Continuing learning is crucial and valued in our independent practice, TDNT Counseling Services at TDNT Social Services Inc. We are always actively seeking, applying for, paying for and attending seminars, training, webinars, as well as continuing education courses annually. Completing these courses is not only to maintain our credentials but to also increase our knowledge-base and remain current on newer techniques and changes. We participate in all of the required courses as well as special training with topics or subjects including therapeutic approaches and techniques (the ones we actively use and others as well), cultural sensitivity, ethical standards, telehealth, legal implications, social justice, diagnoses, among many others.
My client-centered approach to care with unconditional positive regard and mutual respect without judgment creates a safe and trusting space to heal.
Our practice, TDNT Counseling Services at TDNT Social Services Inc, succeeds when clients/patients meet or make progress towards their clinical goals.
