About me
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Michigan who is driven to bring mental health equity and advocacy to all individuals because mental health care should be a right not a privilege.
I am Skyler Nuñez (they/them) a transgender therapist with neurodivergence. I come into therapy with an affirming justice lense molding my therapy approach to each client individually. As someone that is Autistic and has ADHD I have learned first hand the importance of finding a therapy approach that works with all neurotypes and their experiences in the world. I work hard to provide a sensory safe, affirming, and supportive environment to explore and journey through the mental health journey that is therapy. I have spent a large portion of my time working with trauma whether that be from childhood, relationships, discrimination, or the world. I have a strong commitment to bringing approaches into trauma work that take into account various experiences and factors removing a one size fits all path. I have a strong commitment to providing gender affirming care that is attainable for all and work to provide support letters for HRT and surgery as well as work with my clients to find necessary resources to support them outside the therapy office. I work in a small office dedicated to working to provide accessible therapy in a space that is full of warmth and acceptance.
