About me
Anxious, burnt out, grieving, or just feel like something's off? You don't need to have it figured out before reaching out. I work with adults exactly where they are - especially the ones who've never done this before and aren't sure what to expect.
I'm originally from the southern Oregon coast (Brookings). I'm a former teacher, ESL instructor abroad, port administrator, local politics guy — and also a USCG licensed captain and sailing instructor. Most weekends I'm on the water somewhere in the Pacific Northwest with a corgi and two huskies causing chaos on deck.
I'm Skylar. Person first, therapist second.
I work with adults dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, and addiction - especially people who have never done therapy before, think it's not for them, or tried it once and walked away unimpressed. I get it. I'm not here to have you lie on a couch and talk about your childhood for years. I use ACT and Existential approaches — real, practical, honest work. No jargon. No fluff.
