About me
I am a credentialed counsellor with experience supporting clients with stress, anxiety, sleep difficulties, low mood, motivation, self-esteem, confidence, and challenges with concentration and memory. I work in a neurodiversity-affirming way and support individuals with ADHD, autism spectrum conditions (ASD), dyslexia, and other learning and neurodevelopmental differences.
I have particular experience working with individuals who have spent much of their lives masking or adapting to meet external expectations, and who may now be experiencing burnout, overwhelm, or a sense of disconnection from themselves. I also support clients who are exploring or adjusting to a late diagnosis, helping them make sense of past experiences with compassion rather than self-blame.
Alongside my work with neurodivergent clients, I have a strong interest in supporting individuals who have experienced trauma, including childhood experiences that continue to affect emotional wellbeing, relationships, self-worth, and daily life. Many of the coping strategies we develop throughout life begin as ways of protecting ourselves during difficult experiences. Through a trauma-informed approach, I help clients understand these patterns with curiosity and compassion rather than judgment.
I also incorporate inner child work where appropriate, supporting clients to reconnect with younger parts of themselves that may carry unresolved emotions, unmet needs, or painful experiences. This work can help foster greater self-awareness, self-compassion, emotional healing, and a stronger sense of identity and authenticity.
My approach is not about fixing or changing who you are. Instead, we focus on understanding how your mind works, reducing distress, unlearning unhelpful narratives, healing past wounds, and building strategies that honour your needs, strengths, and energy levels. I tailor each session to your unique experiences, circumstances, and goals.
Starting therapy can take courage especially if you have previously felt misunderstood, dismissed, or pressured to mask. I aim to offer a safe, respectful, and non-judgmental space where you can show up as yourself, explore your experiences openly, and feel genuinely understood and supported.
