About me
Hi, my name is Sian. I'm a qualified counsellor who believes therapy should feel like a genuine conversation, where you can bring the real you, not the version you think you're supposed to be.
Life can be complicated. Sometimes you know exactly what's wrong, sometimes you have no idea, and sometimes you just know that you're not feeling like yourself.
Maybe you're an overthinker, a people pleaser, struggling with anxiety or confidence, or finding relationships harder than you'd like. Maybe you're dealing with a big life change, grief or something from your past that still feels very present. Or perhaps you're great at holding everything together for everyone else, but not quite so good at looking after yourself.
Whatever brings you to counselling, you don't need to have it all figured out. You can bring the messy, confusing, difficult and even slightly embarrassing stuff. There is no judgement here.
My approach is primarily person centred, with psychodynamic ideas where helpful to explore the patterns underneath things. I'm warm, down to earth and collaborative, and we'll work things through together rather than me telling you what you should do.
My aim is to help you understand yourself better, feel more confident in who you are and become a little kinder to yourself along the way.
