About me
I'm a dually licensed therapist who is passionate about helping people address their unmet emotional and psychological needs to foster a strong sense of self and inner peace. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where we can work together to discover the tools that will help you bring more joy and meaning into your life. I am also bilingual and can provide services in Farsi (Persian).
I believe that every journey toward healing is unique, and everyone deserves a compassionate space to explore their thoughts and feelings. With over 25 years of experience, I offer personalized, one-on-one counseling to individuals and couples navigating life's toughest challenges. With a deep understanding of how culture can impact mental health and well-being, I provide a unique approach that honors your individual journey. Through a blend of warmth, respect, compassion, and evidence-based modalities, I foster a safe space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment. Together, we’ll work toward healing, growth, and a renewed sense of well-being.
In my work in both community behavioral health and in private practice, I have been able to work with individuals, families, and groups from a wide range of diverse backgrounds, and I deeply understand the important role culture plays. I believe that culture - how ever you define it - is an important piece of your story that is worth exploring. I feel that in gently examining some of your unmet needs, we can gain a better understanding of your concerns, to help foster a sense of serenity, peace and well-being. We will work together to draw on your unique strengths, and I recognize and respect that you are the expert of your life.
I specialize in helping individuals navigate anxiety, depression, domestic violence, family of origin issues, trauma, addiction, and self-esteem challenges. I believe in the mind-body connection and take an integrative, holistic approach to therapy. I use evidence-based treatment modalities, while also incorporating mindfulness-based techniques.
