About me
I believe healing is possible by addressing the root causes of clients' distress. My approach to counseling is relational, trauma-focused, and grounded in the belief that clients are the experts of their own lives. I believe in being both direct and collaborative with clients. I believe honesty and transparency are crucial components to fostering a strong therapeutic relationship. I provide feedback and guidance to clients as we work together to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. By fostering an authentic and collaborative relationship, I aim to create a safe and empowering space to support meaningful progress towards goals.
I draw from several therapeutic modalities including Emotionally-Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Attachment Theory, Polyvagal Theory, Somatic Therapy, and Trauma-Informed Stabilization Treatment (TIST). These evidence-based models provide valuable tools to explore and understand clients' emotions, relationships, and patterns of behavior. These models in conjunction with a strong therapeutic alliance produce lasting changes that allow clients to create an authentic and fulfilling life.
