About me
You may be holding a lot together on the outside while feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of yourself inside. Maybe anxiety makes it hard to quiet your thoughts, depression leaves you feeling stuck, or you find yourself repeating patterns you want to change. You deserve a space where you can speak openly, feel understood, and work toward a life that feels more like your own.
I’m Sharthea Fitzhugh, a Licensed Professional Counselor. I help clients navigate anxiety, depression, stress, anger, loneliness, and life transitions while building self-esteem, healthier relationships, and confidence in their decisions. Together, we can explore how past experiences influence your present, strengthen boundaries, and practice expressing your needs.
My approach is warm, honest, collaborative, and culturally responsive. I combine Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness with person-centered, trauma-informed care. We’ll pair insight with practical skills you can use in everyday moments—when emotions run high, a conversation gets difficult, or self-doubt takes over.
You don’t need to have the right words or know exactly where to begin. We’ll start with what matters to you, recognize the strengths you already have, and work at your pace toward meaningful change.
