About me
Hi welcome to Inspiring Hope Therapy, I am a National Board Certified and Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Arizona. I am passionate trauma therapist specializing in EMDR. I believe that my purpose in counseling is to help people find hope and build strength to walk through the challenges of life and I’ve done so for over 10 years now.
Hi, I’m Sharon. I specialize in working with individuals who have experienced trauma because I understand, both personally and professionally, how deeply trauma can affect our lives.
Trauma can leave wounds that we may try to hide from others. We may carry shame, fear, or self-blame for things that were never our fault. Sometimes, we may not have told anyone what happened because the person who hurt us was someone we trusted, someone who was supposed to protect us, or someone who held a position of power. Sharing our story can feel frightening, especially when we worry that no one will believe us.
I want you to know that you deserve to be heard, believed, and supported.
Trauma is deeply personal and subjective. What feels traumatic to one person may not feel the same way to another, and no one else gets to define your experience for you. Trauma can influence many areas of life, including our emotional well-being, relationships, sense of safety, self-worth, education, career, and financial independence. Sometimes its impact can be felt immediately; other times, we may not recognize the connection until much later.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with people from many different backgrounds and stages of life, including children, adolescents, young adults, college students, adults, individuals experiencing substance use concerns, and those with co-occurring mental health diagnoses. I also enjoy working with couples and families.
I utilize a variety of therapeutic approaches based on each person's unique needs and goals. I have a particular passion for EMDR therapy and have had the privilege of witnessing meaningful and transformative changes as clients work through experiences that have impacted them.
My goal is to walk alongside you—not to tell you how to heal, but to help you discover your own path toward healing, hope, and a renewed sense of self. You do not have to walk through the darkness alone.
We all have a story to tell. My own story has included many storms, but I have made my way through them and learned how to walk in the light. There are still showers from time to time, but now I have a good umbrella—and I still have my smile.
If you're ready, I would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey toward healing.
