About me
I am a Trauma Professional, as well as a trauma survivor in my own life. I utilize techniques such as EMDR to help clients process and move past highly disturbing events in their lives.
Many years ago, I experienced the healing potential of EMDR for my own traumas. It was only then I knew I needed to become a mental health counselor, so I could utilize these same healing techniques with others who are/have been suffering from trauma. I changed my career, and have been walking with others through the process of trauma healing.
In my personal life, I enjoy creating Kintsugi pieces (Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold), painting with alcohol-inks, and rehabbing injured wildlife. I have always loved animals of all kinds, and feel that the natural world is an important part of our human experience. There is so much we can learn from this planet, if we only pay attention.
