I am a strengths-based, trauma-informed licensed mental health counselor with over 16 years of experience unpacking multicultural identity and intersectionality, especially among members of marginalized communities and those who have been "othered".
I take a warm and affirming approach sometimes direct and sometimes with humor or both, where I’m holding a safe space for you to process your emotions. Human beings are not a monolith so I use an ecclectic, integrative, holistic, approach which may include, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Person-Centered Therapy, to examine psychological, family of origin, socio-cultural, environmental, sexual orientation, and spiritual factors, in understanding your experiences and challenges.
