About me
Offering holistic, affirming, integrative care through a laid back, warm, thoughtful, and relatable style, I offer individualized approaches and engaging sessions. Therapy is as unique as you are, and my job is to help you reclaim your life by simply being your guide, teacher, and support along the journey. Your place to breathe, heal, and grow.
Let me first say, I am glad you are reaching out. I know it can be difficult to do so and I am proud of you for taking this step to invest in yourself and in the life you want. Everyone needs someone to talk with occasionally. Sometimes we can’t do it by ourselves. We all lose direction, have things to deal with, heal from, or simply, want more from life. We want to feel, cope, relate, and get better. We want a sounding board, support, and peace. You see, life stressors, mental health issues, anxiety, relationships, grief, or even our careers can throw our emotions and life out of balance. Daily issues can become overwhelming, tiresome, or even dull. These are signs that we could use some assistance. So, no matter where you are on your journey, I am here to empower, and guide you along the way toward reclaiming your life.
With 14+ years of dedicated experience, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who has a history of extensive work with very diverse clientele and concerns. My ultimate focus is on helping clients regain control and balance in their lives and this usually shows up in us addressing things such as attachment wounds, substance use, grief, anxiety, relationship concerns, life stress and transitions, imposter syndrome, loss of direction, personal growth, trauma and abuse, childhood wounds, fears, OCD, ADHD, Bipolar disorders, neurodivergence, borderline personality disorder, career struggles, and women’s issues. I'm also highly experienced and trained in working with career professionals, high achievers, college/grad students, couples, veterans and military personnel, corrections workers, and other first responder and medical personnel. My practice is highly affirming and allied including: HAES focused, LGBTQIA+, kink, poly, spiritually diverse, geriatric, and BIPOC safe.
Using a strength-based and seamless integrative approach, you will get the opportunity to be heard and express yourself, learn about (and work through) your issues, develop new skills, and create healthier habits, in order to achieve better life balance and wellness.
Further, the right therapeutic fit makes it easier to reach your goals and helps you heal and grow in a way that makes sense and works for you. So, I use an informal, relatable, and approachable style with engaging sessions and personalized, flexible care that helps make therapy manageable, accessible, and rewarding. My office is quiet and cozy. I call it a homey sanctuary. No cold professionalism here, as I believe that the best therapy is done when you can just come in and be yourself. So, this is a place for you to belong. A place for you to be you, to breathe, heal, and grow. Everything is very approachable and comfy. Low lights for those with sensory issues, but bright enough to let natural light in, several plants (which I am try to keep alive and thriving), a rocking chair from my grandmother, a snack and beverage nook (please help yourself!), blankets and pillows galore, fidget items, a white board to doodle on, and you can even kick off your shoes, pull the ottoman up to the couch, or sit on the floor if you want. So, if this sounds like we might be a good fit, give me a call and let's get to work and get you back on track!
