About me
Life can present daunting challenges, leaving us feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck. If you're navigating anxiety, relationship struggles, echoes of trauma, or simply seeking greater peace, you don’t have to face it alone.
Hello there - I'm Shanna Nelson, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW #25158) in California.
For nearly 20 years, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside people of all ages and backgrounds as they discover their strength and create lasting change. I specialize in helping people find relief from anxiety, build healthier relationships, heal from trauma, manage mood challenges like depression and bipolar disorder, and understand issues around OCD and control. I also offer compassionate end-of-life care as a Certified Death Doula, supporting individuals and families through life’s most tender transitions.
My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and grounded in respect for each person’s unique story and strengths. I believe healing happens in a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel truly heard and understood. I see therapy as a partnership: you bring your goals, insights, and courage, and I bring my expertise, compassion, and commitment to supporting you every step of the way.
