About me
I work with adolescents, adults, couples, and families in person in Slidell and via telehealth throughout Louisiana. Therapy with me is steady, respectful, and without judgment. My role isn’t to direct your life, but to help you see yourself and your choices more clearly. If this resonates, I’d be honored to connect.
Human beings are complicated.
We are shaped by our experiences, relationships, beliefs, responsibilities, successes, disappointments, fears, hopes, and countless moments that often go unnoticed until they begin affecting our lives in ways we can't ignore. Sometimes those experiences help us grow. Sometimes they leave us feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, stuck, uncertain, or exhausted from carrying more than we realize.
Many people come to therapy because they want relief from anxiety, depression, stress, conflict, grief, or life transitions. Others come because they keep finding themselves in the same situations, having the same arguments, struggling with the same emotions, or wondering why certain patterns continue to show up in their lives and relationships. Whatever brings you to therapy, my goal is to provide a space where you can slow down, explore what is happening beneath the surface, and begin moving toward the life you want to create.
I work with adolescents, adults, couples, and families facing a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, emotional regulation challenges, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, family conflict, parenting stress, and neurodivergence. I also enjoy working with people who are highly self-aware yet still feel stuck, people who tend to overthink, analyze, or intellectualize their experiences, and people who are trying to better understand themselves and their relationships.
My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to the individual sitting in front of me. I do not believe therapy should be a one-size-fits-all experience. Every person brings a unique history, personality, set of strengths, and way of viewing the world. Because of that, therapy should adapt to the person rather than expecting the person to adapt to therapy.
I view therapy as a process of discovery rather than judgment. My role is not to tell you who you are, what decisions you should make, or how you should live your life. Instead, I help clients explore their thoughts, emotions, relationships, and experiences with greater clarity. Together, we identify patterns, build insight, develop practical skills, and create opportunities for meaningful growth and change.
One of the areas I am most passionate about is helping people understand relationships.
The relationship we have with ourselves influences nearly every other relationship in our lives. The ways we learned to communicate, trust, connect, protect ourselves, handle conflict, express emotions, and seek support often begin long before we are aware of them. As adults, we sometimes find ourselves repeating patterns that once served a purpose but no longer align with the life or relationships we want to build.
Whether you are struggling with communication difficulties, recurring conflict, trust concerns, boundary issues, dating challenges, family dynamics, loneliness, self-worth, or uncertainty about a relationship, therapy can provide an opportunity to better understand what is happening beneath the surface and identify healthier ways of moving forward.
For couples, I strive to create a balanced and respectful environment where both partners feel heard and understood. My goal is not to determine who is right or wrong. More often than not, relationship struggles are less about good versus bad intentions and more about misunderstandings, unmet needs, differing perspectives, communication patterns, and emotional reactions that have developed over time. Together, we work to identify those patterns, improve communication, strengthen emotional connection, and build a healthier foundation for the relationship moving forward.
I believe people are capable of remarkable growth when they have the opportunity to better understand themselves. In my experience, many of the struggles people face are not signs of weakness or failure. They are often understandable responses to difficult experiences, challenging circumstances, or coping strategies that once served a purpose. Understanding those responses does not remove accountability, but it does create space for self-compassion, learning, and meaningful change.
My work is grounded in evidence-based practices and draws from person-centered, cognitive behavioral, attachment-based, strengths-based, mindfulness-informed, and solution-focused approaches. Rather than rigidly following a single model, I tailor therapy to the needs, goals, and experiences of each client.
I earned a Master of Health Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center and have experience working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families in both community and educational settings. My training has strengthened my belief that effective therapy is built on trust, authenticity, collaboration, and a genuine respect for the unique experiences each person brings into the room.
I know reaching out for support can feel vulnerable. Whether this is your first experience with therapy or you've worked with a therapist before, I aim to create a space where you can show up as you are. You do not need to have everything figured out before you begin. You do not need the perfect words. You do not need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy.
Sometimes growth begins with nothing more than a willingness to have an honest conversation.
If you're ready to take that step, I would be honored to walk alongside you.
