About me
I provide therapy for children (6+), adolescents, teens, and adults experiencing anxiety, trauma, and emotional challenges.
I believe therapy should feel like a safe, supportive space where healing can happen at your own pace. Many of the children, teens, and adults I work with come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, emotionally reactive, anxious, or impacted by past experiences. My goal is to provide a calm, compassionate environment where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to grow.
I am Serina R. Jackson, ASW, an Associate Clinical Social Worker in California (CA ASW #123617) and a Trauma-Informed Care Certified Practitioner. I provide trauma-informed telehealth therapy for children ages 6 and up, adolescents, teens, and adults, and I practice under clinical supervision in accordance with California licensing requirements.
My work with children and teens focuses on emotional expression, coping skills, and building confidence, while my work with adults often addresses anxiety, trauma, emotional overwhelm, and life transitions. My approach is collaborative and grounded in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and emotional regulation strategies. Sessions are paced intentionally and tailored to each client’s needs, with an emphasis on both understanding past experiences and developing practical tools that support daily functioning.
I practice under the clinical supervision of Jodie Van Aalsburg, LCSW (CA LCSW #98082), ensuring that care is ethical, supportive, and aligned with professional standards.
Starting therapy—whether for yourself or your child—can feel like a big step. You do not have to have everything figured out to begin. If you are looking for a trauma-informed therapist who offers a supportive, structured, and nonjudgmental space, I welcome the opportunity to connect and see if we are a good fit.
