About me

I am a marriage and family therapist who is dedicated to helping adults reclaim connection to themselves and others through treating anxiety, self-worth issues, and family conflict.

We are all wired for connection, both to ourselves and others. Anxiety, low self-worth, and family conflict are just a few of the many common barriers to achieving this connection we all desire. I am passionate about taking an empathetic, curious, and collaborative approach with you to help free you from the burdensome experience of feeling stuck and held back from this connection. Life is all about relationships.

In my therapeutic work, I greatly value the importance of a strong relationship between myself and my clients and aim to build just that by holding you, the client, as the expert in your own life while offering warmth, empathy, and consistency. As a strengths-based therapist, I believe you already have within yourself what you need for change and my role is to help you access it. I believe that by creating a space of safety and security and accepting you for precisely who you are, I'm helping you to more fully accept yourself. Because paradoxically, when we most fully accept ourselves we’re most able to recognize our areas of growth which sets the stage for change. I strive to embody a spirit of openness, respect, curiosity, and accountability. Additionally, I approach all my clients from a bio-psycho-social-spiritual lens, recognizing the larger contexts within which we all operate and seeing you as a whole person beyond your diagnoses or present problems.

I feel particularly passionate about working with anxiety, helping you restructure your relationship with its uncomfortable and sometimes crippling effects so you can prevent it from taking control of your life and your relationships. I will work collaboratively with you to determine your particular flavor of anxiety and other current struggles, recognizing and respecting your uniqueness. I will work collaboratively with you as we utilize your many strengths to uncover creative solutions to your current struggles.

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Washington (LMFT LIC# 61275839). I graduated from Seattle Pacific University with my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.
