About me
As a Licensed Professional Counselor with dual master’s degrees in Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy, I help individuals and families navigate life’s challenges, develop healthier relationships, and find a path forward during difficult seasons. I work with a diverse range of clients experiencing depression, anxiety, stress, anger, grief, guilt, shame, trauma, and questions of purpose and meaning. I also have particular experience supporting men, fathers, individuals in ministry, those who have worked within the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, older adults navigating life transitions, and families working through blended family dynamics, autism-related concerns, relationship conflict, divorce, and separation.
My approach to counseling is holistic, recognizing that our psychological, biological, social, and spiritual experiences all influence our well-being. I draw on evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), while tailoring our work to your individual needs, goals, and circumstances. Whether you are struggling with overwhelming emotions, navigating a major life change, processing past experiences, or seeking to strengthen your relationships, we will work together to build practical skills, develop deeper self-understanding, and identify meaningful steps toward change.
I believe counseling begins with a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, compassion, and collaboration. In our first few sessions, we will focus on understanding your concerns, identifying your goals, and establishing a foundation for our work together. You do not have to have everything figured out before reaching out. My role is to meet you where you are and walk alongside you as you work toward healing, resilience, and a more fulfilling life.
My professional training and personal life experiences have shaped my understanding of how difficult seasons can affect every part of our lives. I consider it a privilege to support others as they navigate challenges and discover new possibilities. For those who value faith, I welcome the opportunity to incorporate spiritual perspectives into counseling in a way that respects your beliefs and goals. I am equally committed to providing a respectful, supportive, and affirming space for clients from all backgrounds. Counseling is more than my profession; it is a meaningful opportunity to help people find hope, develop healthier ways of living, and move forward with greater confidence and purpose.
