About me

No matter where you’re starting from, I’m here to walk alongside you as you grow, heal, and move toward a life that feels more balanced, meaningful, and hopeful.

Hi, I’m Sarah Moynihan, a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) based in Massachusetts. I provide telehealth therapy for adults and seniors who are seeking support with their mental health and overall well-being. I genuinely believe that you are the most valuable investment you can make in your life, and I’m here to offer a caring, encouraging space where we can explore your experiences, understand what you’re going through, and work toward meaningful growth together. I earned my Bachelor’s in Psychology from Assumption University and my Master’s in Social Work from Bridgewater State University.

When you work with me, you can expect a high level of engagement, support, and collaboration. I draw on a wide range of experience and a compassionate, client-centered approach to help you feel understood and empowered. My goal is to create a safe and welcoming space where you can openly share your story, build on your strengths, and develop practical tools to create lasting, positive change in your life.

One of my biggest strengths is meeting clients exactly where they are—with empathy, curiosity, and without judgment. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working in many different settings, including clients’ homes, office-based care, inpatient programs, and correctional facilities. These experiences have given me valuable insight into the challenges people face and how to best support them. I specialize in helping adults and seniors work through a variety of concerns, including addiction and substance use, alcohol use and chronic relapse, anger management, anxiety and stress, body image and self-esteem, eating disorders, obesity, and more.
