About me

I am a licensed psychotherapist in New York and Virginia, who is dedicated to offering an integrative approach to healing from anxiety, trauma, emotional eating/eating disorders, PTSD, creative blocks, and challenging life transitions.

As a licensed psychotherapist a certified EMDR therapist, a certified yoga therapist and registered yoga instructor, a certified health coach, and board certified art therapist, I work from an integrative and holistic approach. I offer EMDR and integrative therapy sessions for those who are struggling with anxiety, trauma recovery, PTSD, emotional eating and/or eating disorder recovery.

I also offer EMDR intensives in 2.5 or 4 hour blocks as an opportunity to dive deeply into the healing process. I also work with those who are struggling with challenging life transitions and those with creative blocks. EMDR, mindfulness and meditation practices, guided imagery and visualization, parts work/IFS informed therapy, and creative arts therapy are all modalities potentially integrated into sessions.

I work from a strength-based, person centered, health and every size (HAES) and collaborative approach so that the treatment plan is created in a way that focuses on each individuals specific needs, goals, and desires for their unique healing process. For those interested in health coaching, I also offer health coaching specific sessions and packages to help create space for total wellbeing in mind, body, and spirit. For those who live outside of New York or Virginia, I offer women's empowerment coaching and health coaching packages.

Through my integrative, wholistic approach, the intent is not just to get to your baseline of wellness, the intent is to feel whole, grounded, accepting, and peaceful in the totality of who you are. When working with me, you will receive consistent support along your path to developing a life-long healthy relationship with yourself. My mission is to help you find, create and maintain, by your own design, a healthy, peaceful and content experience within your life.

My mission is to create a supportive, and accepting space for you to truly feel well, live well, and be well—mind, body, and spirit. My office is an accepting and safe space and I happily serve those of any religion, race, and sexual orientation and identification.

If you are feeling hopeless or anxious about where you are in life, I encourage you to reach out. I offer a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation where you can ask any questions you may have about my work and practice and determine if you feel I may be a good fit for your needs.

When I’m not working, I love to see live music and art exhibits, take long walks, wander around NYC, cook soup, and at some point on any given day, I have one of my kitties snuggled on my lap and my nose in a good book. I am the author of the self-help book, Wholistic Food Therapy: A Mindful Approach to Making Peace with Food. It is a workbook and expressive journal to support those working towards a more peaceful relationship with food. I also offer an online course, Freedom from Emotional Eating.
