About me
I am a licensed psychotherapist who helps motivated individuals heal from past trauma, depression and anxiety. You are not alone.
You’ve spent the last however-many-years trying to keep everything together and you are exhausted. Your body is holding onto stress. Maybe you have tried therapy in the past and still feel like you haven’t fully healed. Despite being so hardworking, self-aware and intelligent, you fear you won’t succeed. You struggle with self-doubt and are your own worst critic. You feel your emotions so deeply and tend to overthink situations. You try to relax but your body just won’t let you. It’s time for a change.
Hi, my name is Sarah Rollins (she/her/hers) and I help resilient, motivated individuals learn how to release trauma and stress that is held in their bodies. Through therapy, my clients notice changes in all areas of their lives and feel more at peace. They wake up in the morning and the heaviness they once carried is replaced with presence and joy. With therapy, that feeling of being lost and overwhelmed will dissipate. You will have time to fill your life with the things you love and if you don’t know what those things are, you will have the the freedom to discover them.
For over 8 years, I have worked with people who have experienced trauma, anxiety, depression and addiction. I graduated from the University of Michigan with my undergraduate degree in psychology and graduate degree in social work. I am trained in Somatic Experiencing through Somatic Experiencing International. I also have training in Internal Family Systems through the IFS Institute. Other modalities I use include, but are not limited to, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Supportive Therapy and psychoeducation.
I take a different approach to healing, I go beyond talk therapy. Using somatic therapy, I invite clients to notice the sensations in their bodies, get curious about them and release what is stored inside. Somatic therapy allows you to heal without having to talk about what happened. Whether you have been to therapy for years or this is your first time, I am here to make this experience one where you feel understood, seen and cared for.
The time is now to heal and live a life free from suffering by visiting www.embodiedwellnesstherapy.com or calling 248-607-0887.
