About me
I am deeply passionate about mental health advocacy and supporting individuals and couples as they navigate their unique journeys.
Hi! I'm so happy that you are here. My name is Sarah Roberts, and I am a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern, as well as an alumna of the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Master’s program at the University of North Florida (UNF).
In my practice I take a client-centered, collaborative approach, tailoring my work to support each person’s unique needs. I draw from a range of evidence-based modalities, including Person-Centered Therapy (focusing on empathy, safety, and your lived experience), trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you notice and shift unhelpful thoughts and patterns, Mindfulness practices to build calm and present-moment awareness, Expressive Arts to explore feelings through creativity, and Solution-Focused Therapy to identify strengths and small, doable next steps. I am also trained in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT), which helps partners understand their patterns, repair disconnection, and build a more secure bond.
My goal is to help you build resilience, develop healthier coping strategies, and work toward meaningful personal growth in a supportive environment. I’m committed to creating a safe, non-judgmental space supporting LGBTQ+ individuals, neurodivergent individuals, people of color and other marginalized populations where clients can explore their emotions, gain clarity, and find healing. Additionally, I have a particular interest in working with First Responders, Military members, and Veterans, recognizing the unique challenges these populations face.
When I am away from my office, I enjoy volunteering at the Florida Diabetes Camp, curating my vinyl record collection, visiting local cafes, searching for shark teeth on the beach, or cherishing moments with my close friends. I would be honored to partner with you and offer my support as you pursue your personal path to healing and growth.
