About me
I see you and accept you without any judgment. I hear your story and validate your experience. We work together as a team for you to claim a meaningful, joy filled life for yourself. I do all of this through evidence based practices and with a bit of creativity and humor. If you feel safe, heard, understood, and are able to laugh a bit in session--I'm doing my job right.
I utilize a mindful eclectic approach to therapy. My grounding theory is attachment theory, and I utilize CBT, DBT, IFS, MI, EMDR, and mindfulness as ways in which to get things done. I believe in honoring client autonomy in knowing what will work best for you (because you are the world's expert on you!).
You can expect a warm, calm, sanctuary space that is free from judgment when you come to counseling with me. You'll always have space to discuss whatever is on your mind and you'll decide what happens next. That might sound a bit scary, and for some people, coming to therapy has been a scary experience. I try to take the fear out and make it enjoyable and even, fun--because life needs a bit of humor along the way.
