About me
I’m a compassionate, person-centered therapist who helps adults navigate anxiety, trauma, self-esteem, and questions of identity and meaning. I offer a nonjudgmental space to explore your experiences, build self-understanding, and create change that feels authentic to you.
Sometimes, the hardest part of life is trying to understand yourself while navigating everything the world expects of you. Maybe you're caught in cycles of overthinking, struggling with self-criticism, processing difficult experiences, or questioning beliefs and expectations you've carried for years. You might know you want something to change without knowing exactly where to start. Whatever brings you to therapy, you don't have to have all the answers before we begin.
**My approach to therapy**
I believe therapy should be a space where you can show up as you are, without judgment or pressure to have everything figured out. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in the belief that you are the expert on your own life. Rather than assuming I know what's best for you, I want to understand your experiences, values, and goals so we can find an approach that feels meaningful to you.
I draw from humanistic and existential perspectives, along with practical skills from approaches like Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). This allows us to explore the deeper patterns and experiences that shape how you see yourself while also building tools to navigate difficult emotions, manage stress, and approach challenges differently. Therapy isn't about changing who you are to meet someone else's expectations. It's about understanding yourself more fully and deciding what you want to do with that understanding.
**Who I work with**
I enjoy working with adults navigating anxiety, trauma, low self-esteem, burnout, and life transitions. I am especially interested in helping people who struggle with perfectionism, people-pleasing, shame, or feeling disconnected from themselves. We can explore how past experiences and outside expectations may influence your present while making room for new perspectives and possibilities.
I also welcome conversations about identity, spirituality, and changing beliefs. Whether you're questioning what you were taught growing up, navigating religious hurt, or trying to figure out what gives your life meaning, you deserve space to explore those questions without pressure to arrive at a particular answer. My approach honors your autonomy and respects your right to define your own values and beliefs.
**What therapy with me can look like**
Our work will be shaped by your needs, goals, and pace. Some sessions may focus on practical skills for managing anxiety or navigating overwhelming emotions. Others may involve exploring relationships, patterns, or experiences that have shaped your understanding of yourself. We can make room for both acceptance and change: learning to treat yourself with greater compassion while identifying what you want to do differently.
You don't need to arrive with a perfectly organized explanation of what's wrong. You can start with what's weighing on you today, even if it feels messy or difficult to put into words. My goal is to offer a space where curiosity can replace judgment, where questions are welcome, and where growth doesn't require you to reject who you are.
Ultimately, I want therapy to help you build a life that feels more like your own, grounded in your values rather than simply in what others expect of you.
