About me
I believe that CHANGE is possible and that it can happen if you want it to. My own life is a testament to this belief.
My clients might suffer from depression and/or anxiety due to trauma they have experienced by being institutionalized (jail, hospital(s), foster care, etc.). My clients will be motivated to make change and may or may not be seeking therapy as part of a mandate and/or court order from criminal court, juvenile dependency, AND/OR Family Court(s) in the San Francisco Bay Area. I am gender and LGBTQA+affirming.
I am profoundly (personally and professionally) experienced at advocating for my clients to receive quality care and responsive interventions that are tailor-made to fit each client individually and to suit their needs, using various modalities to provide a personalized and relevant treatment plan.
I have 30+ years of experience in the field of Social Work (Child Protective Services, Youth Guidance Center at Juvenile Hall in San Francisco, Forensic Social Work in Hospital and Family/Criminal Court settings.
I hold multiple identities: of working class, systems-impacted BIPOC-female-presenting, and a mother of a 12-year-old special needs/adopted child and 2 dogs.
After my grandmother (who raised me) passed away, I grieved intensely and for a long period of time...when I discovered that therapy could help me process these feelings of intense loss/shock,
I realized that I could do it!
I want to be this person for other people grieving.
I look forward to hearing from you!
