About me
During our sessions, you can expect to gain meaningful psychoeducation—whether that involves understanding your diagnosis, learning about trauma, or exploring how the brain influences experiences such as addiction, mental health challenges, and healing. You’ll also take away healthy coping skills and a deeper understanding of how you arrived at this point in your life. Most importantly, I want you to leave with the knowledge that you are more than the painful events you’ve endured—that your identity is not defined by your trauma, illness, diagnosis, or even the roles you hold, such as the sport you play.
My greatest strength as a therapist is my ability to connect with you and meet you where you are. I believe that providing psychoeducation is not only an important part of the therapeutic process but also one of my strengths as a clinician. Most importantly, I view my multicultural perspective as a key asset—I strive to understand not only where you are coming from emotionally and mentally, but also the cultural experiences that shape your worldview and identity.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Nationally Certified Counselor, and a Certified Trauma Professional. I earned my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Montclair State University. My experience includes working in inpatient facilities, community mental health, private practice, and volunteering with Veterans Affairs. I am passionate about working with veterans, teens, adults, and older adults, and I have supported individuals facing PTSD, grief and loss, substance use, stress management concerns, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, health-related challenges, and maternal mental health, including postpartum depression.
