About me

I am an experienced Marriage and Family Therapist dedicated to helping Nero diverse couples and families who have a member with behavior or special needs such as Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, and intellectual or learning disabilities.


Sara is an LMFT Associate, supervised by Beth Anne Contreras, MMFT, LMFT-S, LPC-S. She received her Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Liberty University and her Master’s in Special Education K-12 from Arkansas State University. Sara is Gottman Level 1 Certified. Sara specializes in working with neurodiverse couples in which one partner is on the Autism spectrum, and the other is not. Sara can help couples where one partner feels betrayed and broken and needs help to restore a healthy relationship. Sara enjoys working with all ages, using a family approach to therapy, especially those with one member suspected to be or diagnosed with Autism 1(Asperger’s). She loves helping marriages in crisis find hope and healing by learning healthy communication and how to use strategies that help them understand one another better.
A master’s degree in Special Education and Marriage and Family therapy gives her unique skills to help struggling individuals and families who need someone to walk alongside them through their various life challenges. As a Christian counselor, Sara is happy to incorporate Christian counseling for clients that request it.
Her skill set is perfect for helping couples, families, individuals, and children as young as 5. It takes courage to reach out and ask for help when you are going through difficult times, have experienced trauma, have a child with behavior concerns, struggle with depression, anxiety, self-worth, suicidal thoughts, or self-harm—and need someone unbiased to listen. Sara would humbly assist you and your family find hope and strategies to help you handle the hard things life has thrown at you.
