About me
Compassionate Healing is a holistic mental health practice dedicated to trauma-informed care, blending evidence-based psychotherapy with mind–body approaches to support lasting healing and resilience.
I began my career with an undergraduate degree in Social Work and went on to complete my Master’s in Mental Health Counseling in 2012. Over the past two decades, I have had the privilege of working with a wide variety of clients across many settings, including Intensive Outpatient programs, long-term and sub-acute rehabilitation with the geriatric population, case management with individuals with disabilities, and most recently as an outpatient psychotherapist supporting clients ages 15–65.
My therapeutic style is eclectic—I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. As a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, I bring a deep understanding of the complexities of trauma and how it shows up in people’s lives. I am trained in multiple evidence-based and holistic modalities including EMDR, Brainspotting, Somatic Experiencing, and Clinical Hypnosis (ASCH, Level II). I have also worked successfully alongside neurologists to support clients experiencing Psychogenic Nonepileptic Seizures (PNES). Having a range of techniques allows me to co-create a tailored plan with each client, meeting them where they are in their healing journey.
While training and tools are great, I believe the most important factor in therapy is the relationship itself. I strive to make my clients feel heard, safe, and empowered as they learn to support and strengthen themselves. I bring curiosity, humility, and compassion into every session, honoring both the uniqueness of each client’s lived experience and the impact of generational and systemic trauma.
As a white, cisgender, middle-class therapist living with a physical disability, I approach my work with awareness of my own identity and privilege. It is deeply important to me to hold space that is affirming, inclusive, and collaborative. My commitment is to show up wholeheartedly for my clients every session, roll alongside them as they move toward healing, resilience, and growth.
