About me
Fern Hill Therapy offers a safe space for children and teens, to feel respected and supported as they navigate their
parent's divorce, transitions in school, friendships, or being a member of the LGBTQIA+ communities.
There are also opportunities for parents to participate through parenting education, co-parenting classes, and joint sessions with their children.
I am Sara K. Elushik, LCSW. I was blessed to have grown up in the midwest, surrounded by ferns. I loved to sit by them in the woods and I found so much peace. I hope to offer space and direction for children and teens to find peace as well.
I graduated from Grand Valley State University (Michigan) with a bachelor of science in psychology. I continued my education at Western Michigan University with a Master of Social Work. I spent a few years as a foster care worker and as a medical social worker. As our family grew, I became all in as a full time mom and foster parent.
At Fern Hill Therapy, I bring educational and experiential knowledge to work with parents and their children. I utilize play therapy, art therapy and cognitive-behavior therapy to meet your family where you are.
